With many fatalities and accidents on building sites every year, new legislation has been introduced to help improve the industry’s health and safety record. This has created, amongst other changes, the role of Planning Supervisor, whose responsibility it is to ensure clients, designers and contractors take proper account of health and safety matters.

HBW Partnership Limited was set up in 1994 to specialise in health and safety within the context of the new regulations and to perform the role of Planning Supervisor. This has led to HBW being appointed on many projects as Planning Supervisor.
